Dr. Wood grew up in the small town of Commerce, Georgia. She attended Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia and moved to the Windward side in 2007. After working at a private practice in town and for the Army as a contract dentist at Schofield Barracks, she purchased and rehabbed Ocean View Dental. She enjoyed taking care of soldiers so much that she became a reservist and is now a Major in the Army Reserve. Her husband, Ryan, is the golf course superintendent at The Kaneohe Klipper and they have a daughter, Finley and a son, Hoake. She enjoys spending time with her family, tennis, reading, baking, cross-stitch, and riding her bicycle around Kailua town.
Dr. Wood’s greatest joy is in dental education and helping people obtain a great smile. She has completed multiple continuing education courses in occlusion and treatment of facial pain with botulinum toxin. In 2019 she will be enrolled in a 300 hour implant maxi course in Georgia. She is a member of the Seamons Spear Education Study Club. She loves helping people learn about taking care of their teeth and believes that our oral health is a window to our overall health!
